Animal Attraction - Jill Shalvis 3.5 This was alright. Maybe I've read so much that my standards are higher.
The Sweetest Thing - Jill Shalvis 3.5!
Well, this book was sweet and cheesy at times. This was certainly a light, easy, love read. No major conflicts, or twists, or tragedies. This was a light heart, fun read to the point of boring. At one point, I wanted to stop reading, but it got good when Mia showed up.

I liked that it was a long lost love reunion story. There was a love triangle, but the way the author handled it was just fine. She made one of the guys love her only because he has an ego, and doesn't like it when he can't have something, so he feels he must have it. Confusing his love for something else.

However, the male rivalry was pretty fun, and I liked how it was more "mine is bigger than yours" than actual fighting and beat you to death.

Anyway, this story is ok, I may try her other books too.
Pivot Point - Kasie West I had a hard time starting this book. I would describe it as the feeling I have when studying. Starting it always the hardest part. In this case, I read the blurb and the cover, and somehow I assumed it was going to be another bad teenage drama. But then, I figured if it was really bad in the beginning, I would just delete to free up some space. However, when I actually started and got into it, I was sucked in and enthralled to the max.

Wow, what can I say? The main character, Addie was really likeable. I didn't find her annoying or whinny. She's mouthy and witty, and in the two paths, I like how she handles the situation with the guys. Yeah, in one path, it was kind of an insta love, but once you find out the twist, you realize that she had no choice but to love that person. In the other, it was perfect. It was a slow progression, yeah they bumped into each other a lot, and she makes it her goal to make friends with the guy, but it was portrayed well, not the clingy annoying heroines who do anything to get the guys attention.

The way that the story was delivered was really intriguing, as the concept of being able to see the your future paths all the way through, and then deciding which is best, then you can choose to live it through.

OMG, I can't wait for the next book! I want it now! I need more Trevor!
Born of Ice - Sherrilyn Kenyon 4.5! Readable and hilarious at some points. I got to say the peanut gallery totally made this book more awesome!
Hollowland - Amanda Hocking Hmmm, what can I say, I really like me some zombie books, but there were some parts where the heroine and the dialogue were cringeworthy. Not only her but the other characters also.

The lion was cool but it could have been handled better. It is totally unbelievable that the lion would follow them, but the idea was nice.

I'm not to sure I want to read more, but I can't help but be curious as I really like me ssome zombie books :-) Maybe ill just find some spoilers aka other people's review for info on what happens.
Legend - Marie Lu I was thoroughly entertained. Definitely reading the next two!
The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies, #1) - Tarryn Fisher Hmm... so this story....I was filled with dread while reading it because I knew something bad was just waiting to happen since it starts out with her stalking her ex boyfriend.

Long love lost stories are always heart warming, but this just made my heart hurt. So much angst and drama, and losing your loved one over again. Now that just sucks.

I was sort of prepared but then I wasn't. I need a happy ending or I'm just torn. So what did I do? I went to the last book and finished that first. I'm glad all the books gave been written! So I haven't written a review for that yet, because I'm still kind of conflicted in what to say and my stars.

I liked some parts and hated other parts. This was an angst filled ride. I'm not foing to read the next one as I don't think I can handle anymorw. I like a good emotion filled ride but this just had too much. Olivia is an extreme mc aling with everyone else in this book.
Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3) - Tarryn Fisher Wow.. can you say a cycle of neverending drama. More angst, more everything, repeat, repeat, and end. It was ok, but the story kind of rushed at the end. I don't know, more tragedies and pain. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotion.
Wicked Beat - Olivia Cunning I did not finish this. I got to about halfway. I am jusy not in the mood for this. This was just not my cup of tea.
In the After - Demitria Lunetta I was thoroughly entertained. Sure it may not be that unique, but post apocalyptic stories with monsters are always fun. Trying to survive in a world where human morality becomes thin, trying to figure out who can be trusted or not are always intriguing.

I liked Amy and Baby's relationship. Though they may not be blood, there connection is thicker. I found their communication system cool, especially how they modified it.

The twist can be easily predicted. I'm so psyched for the next book! Leaving a brain washed psychotic leader community to a no law zoo fest! Out of the frying pan and into the fire! Though the latter place sounds less safe, but at least there are no stab in the back secrets. More honest brutality, more freedom.

Usually these books go opposite direction s, but I like how this goes from finding out the truth firsthand.
Born of Shadows - Sherrilyn Kenyon Haha, this story was such a joy! I've only read two of her books so far, but I know this is and will forever be my favorite of hers.

What's not to love, especially where there's action, humor, and romance that hits just the right spot. Not too much and not too little, just perfect. The chemistry between the friends/group is just perfect. There banter and squabbles is the best part of the book. Hauk, Fain, Caillen, Chayden, Maris, and Darling were a bunch of overgrown muscular men who can't help but complain about everything and any little thing, that it was just too funny to stop reading. I felt like it was a one piece scene. They each had their own unique personality that made the whole group have a friendly family scene.

Desederia, (what a weird name, though lots of her characters also have weird names)is a pretty good heroine. She fights and is tough when she wants to be, and is vulnerable and soft at other times. I found her readable and not one of those whiny heroines. Caillen is the kind of person who hides his true self, with a laid back personality, making a joke of everything. I really like this type of male character, though, those dark broody types are nice too, if written right.

I'm definitely going to read more of her books, hopefully, there will be more humor in them and not be as dark and depressing as Born of Silence.
Love, Lies, and Deception - L.P. Dover Wow, for some reason when I read the title and saw the high ratings, I thought this was going to be intense and hardcore in mystery, angst, and action. Instead, its a college fluffy romance with twist. The twist seemed liked it was trying too hard, and it didn't really make that much of a suspense in the end. It was somewhat sort of kind of obvious.

The beginning was pretty interesting. The main female character had a spark in the beginning, but somehow lost it later. The two main males had their own qualities, but you can totally tell who the she is going to end up with. I felt like it was a cop out with one characters with the way he acted to make it easier for the heroine to choose one guy.

But then again, I am hard to please when it comes to love triangles. Obviously one guy is loved more than the other, so one character has to be somewhat hateful, making it easier for the heroine to choose. Either the guy not chosen is a total sweetheart but sleaveball or total sweetheart and love her so much that he must let her go. Either way there's hard feelings, thus I hate love triangles. Hope that made sense.

In the middle and end, I started disliking the girl. Ok, so Marissa and Alec have seriously declared their love for each other with one of those no one but you cliches. When they run off together, at the first sign of trouble, Marissa thinks the worst of Alec because of his past. Didn't she say she loved him? If she loved him truly, than she should have given him a chance to explain or at least talk things through instead of just running off. Plus, she didn't witness him in the act, just saw two things together, and assumed the worst. But now that I think about it, the things were incriminating, but she still should have at least listened to him.

Anyways, when she runs off by herself, who does she run off to? The other guy. I get that they were like best friends, but if it were me I'd go to my best girl friend not to a guy when my feelings are in jumbles, especially when said guy friend is a potential love interest, which would make the girl even more confused. Then, when she goes with Kristian, she goes and have sex with him even though she supposedly really loves Alec. I get that she vulnerable and confused, but seriously? Wow. I seriously dislike characters, dosen't matter if they're males or females who are wishy washy and flippy.

Anyways this story was ok.
The Firebird - Susanna Kearsley The beginning was really interesting. However, I felt myself skimming the parts where they have images of the past because I wanted to read the present story more.
Unbreakable (Unbreakable, #1) - Rebecca Shea This was a quick read, though I may have skimmed some parts because the story was just dragging on.

I know there was a serious issue that happened, but I felt like it didn't really give me that big of an impact.

Maybe I've read so many if these types of stories that I'm now immune to the emotion, unless it was something unique and new.

The beginning was very sweet, probably too sweet. It just felt a bit unreal at times, maybe it was just me. Anyway, this story focused on two people who spent their whole lives, only to have now vocalized their love for each other.

The only conflict kind of hits you out of nowhere. Even the heroine is like what the heck just happened?

I hate love triangles, and the bit with Landon was just sad. I didn't like how the heroine handled that situation, and always someone has to come out hurt.

I'm sticking around for the next book!
A Love Like This (The Remembrance Trilogy, #3) - Kahlen Aymes 3.5!
Ok, so for these first two books, I didn't really finish them because it just felt like it was a sweet love book that extends forever. I was bored halfway through the first book, and tried to start the second. But at that time, I just wasn't in the mood for an amnesia story.

So when I started this third book, it was actually interesting because another woman comes in between them. It's hard to hate the other woman when she is nice and innocent, so that's what happened in the beginning.
However, later her true personality appears, and it is then easier to hate her.

So this book doesn't seem to real. I can't relate to them at all, and how she is able to get that job is unreal. I can sort of see the guy being able to get into med school and then getting his internship etc at that hospital, but I don't know.

I was really excited that this trilogy was done, so I had bought all three hoping it would be amazing. I was pretty let down, I guess my expectations were too high.
The Great Escape - Susan Elizabeth Phillips I did not really like the beginning, Lucy was kind of annoying and needy. Main male character had long hair, which is gross for men.

I liked the middle and the ending. I liked seeing Lucy break out of her shell, and also seeing the male guy break lose in the emotions department. I did not see that plot going, but then again, while running out on your wedding, how convenient that he just showed up.

I liked the epilogue, though I wish it was longer. Meg and Ted are probably one of my favorite pairings in SEP's books.
